Durham County Council

Durham County Council has had a long association with Norman Cornish dating from 1962 when the DCC commissioned Cornish to paint the Miners’ Gala Mural.

The DCC also supported the development of the Norman Cornish Trail, which opened in April 2019 and promoted the centenary year via the Visit Durham website.
