Norman Cornish Sketch on Antiques Roadshow

When Antiques Roadshow visited Newcastle Civic Centre one of the most exciting items of the day was when a sketch by Norman Cornish was shown by a man who's grandparents purchased the sketch many years ago.


Durham County Hall Mural Inspection

The family of Norman Cornish visited Durham County Hall in May to participate in the close inspection of The Mural, painted by Norman Cornish to commemorate the opening of Durham County Hall in 1964. The inspection was carried out by senior staff from the Conservation Department of Northumbria University.


Norman Cornish's Sketchbooks: an illustrated talk

On Saturday June 2nd The Shipley Art Gallery will be hosting a talk by Mike Thornton, son-in-law to Norman Cornish. Tickets are priced at just £4 and you'll also be able to pick up copy of the new Behind The Scenes book at a reduced price of just £25!
